Zurich Life is introducing a pilot programme for a limit of 500 customers where they seek to use each participant’s daily exercise data to investigate the health benefits of using wearable technology to monitor activity and lifestyle.

In conjunction with HeiaHeia and Garmin,  Zurich Life has developed a customised App for your smartphone. This will help customers achieve their fitness goals, whether it’s running, learning new yoga poses, losing weight or just getting active.

This App will also allow Zurich Life and its reinsurance partner to access the activity information and track people’s engagement levels and paths to fitness. At the end of the two-year period, all data will be anonymised and aggregated by Zurich Life and its reinsurance partner so that individual participants are no longer identifiable.
